Despite the fact that it was dark and stormy 2 weekends ago, I felt the strangest compulsion to go to the zoo. Because hardly anyone was there, I managed to spend about 45 minutes face to face (glass in between, of course) with this beautiful young tiger while she chewed on a bone in her little cave

According to the zookeeper, she was the brat of the litter--but I didn't think so

(Sorry about the noise, it was extremely dark where she was. I'm surprised I even managed to get any clear shots without a tripod!)
