Description

This picture was taken further up the trail, where the waterfall erupts from the mountain. It was unbelievably noisy up there due to the powerful watercurrent, in combination with the incredibly pure air it really was a refreshing expierence. Unfortunately the wheater was quite moody when we walked through the protected forest surrounding the waterfall and the connecting mountainriver. First the sun was shining, then suddenly a thunderstorm had all other tourists running for shelter, fortunately we had brought our umbrellas. It was raining quite heavily but we continued hiking up the path and 10 minutes later no more drops were falling from the sky, we were completely alone and the sun was as radiant as before. Illuminating the opening in the mountain wall where the water leaves the mountain (which isn't visible in this picture due to the excessive sunbeams) and the smaller waterfall in front of it. It was a quite a magical atmosphere, to be this high up surrounded by thunderous water, crisp air and the smell that earth and plants create when the sunlight evaporates the raindrops, imbuing the area with an elusive sun-drenched mist.

This is how this picture was created and also why some parts of it are slightly blurred, the waterfall itself makes it incredibly hard to take proper pictures with godzillion waterdrops constantly wetting the lense, as you can imagine the added rain didn't help either.

In any case, thank you for listening and I hope you enjoy this picture.
