"Everything is better when we stick together..."So this is a thing. I had this idea a couple months ago, but sat on it until the contest was announced a day or so ago. The song here is the only part of Everything is Awesome that anyone actually remembers. I'm not apologizing for this.
This probably goes in the "Touhou Comedy" category and/or the "Touhou Horror" category. I'm not sure; it doesn't really go in any of the categories.

One of my favourite tropes is soundtrack dissonance. My current favourite use of it is from KKHTA where "Kung Foo Fighting" is used as the background music for Byakuren rallying youkai to exterminate humans (which happens to be frame 2 of this comic).
Not sure exactly how upbeat and spry "Everything is Awesome" actually is, since once you get into the context and subtext of the song the implications are a bit unsettling.
