Description This is...an interesting picture. Not the subject itself, no, but the process. The sketch? Done about 1.5 years ago. The coloring? Started...1 year ago. Left for about a 6 months. Picked up again. Dropped for another 4 months. Worked off and on for the last 3 weeks or so to finish. The tail itself is like a timeline, each segment marking a different session (and improving over time, I hope). So its an old/new work, depending on where you look. My coloring skills are so rusty, I really need to get practicing again.

This is Ali, the ringtail (not the lemur) lycanthrope. She's stretching in Myrrim's yard. He has a really, really big house. What you can't see is the huge forest which is right to the side. Why? Because I'm tired of working on this. Its done. I'm not adding the trees I forgot, I'm not adjusting it anymore. Its been worked on far too long. And the real image is a lot bigger than this is slows down the computer when I try to work on it, which I can't stand.

Everyone has commented on how extremely awesome the tail is, how the colors really play well with her feelings and the general mood of the piece, and how cute she is, so I'll talk about the bg.
Your attention to detail and texture really helps the house to look real. The shadows from the windows and the grain make it looks much more 3D. Great job!
haha And I really like the Shoji door on the Mexican-styled house. <3

she has the most floofy tail in history ; ; I loves it so. And what a great feeling this picture has. I love the warm colors and the early morning 'ahhhhh' feeling.

That tail is amazing! I love the texture on it, looks so good.

I also really like the texture on the house, it turned out really great and makes it look realistic. That's a pretty big house too, it'd rock to live there!

Too bad you couldn't have added that forest in there too, it would have made the picture that much more complete! But this is good too

Haha I can kind of see places where you bleh'd out. But that's okay, it still looks ggggrrreeaaaattt (frosted flakes~)!

I can never get over how huge her tail is...whenever I draw her it's like half the size you make it XD;
