Description English assignment. Had to make a artistic representation of on of Frost or Whitman's poems. I liked The Onset, and knowing me, did a cg. Basically the image that I saw when reading the poem, because I am unoriginal like that. Did add little crocuses that don't look like crocuses at the bottom though, to represent the spring and hope. I tried a different angle. Of course, forgot to put the guy in the angle as well. Oh well. There are many things wrong with this picture, but I stopped caring rather quickly while making it. The fact that it was due the next day (later we found it wasn't, due to our teacher being out sick). So...there you go. Penciled guy lightly, scanned, and then used pencil lines as guidelines for rest of picture. Pretty much all cg. My tablet helped alot. Don't know how long. Poem below.

---------------------

Always the same, when on a fated night
At last the gathered snow lets down as white
As may be in dark woods, and with a song
It shall not make again all winter long
Of hissing on the yet uncovered ground,
I almost stumble looking up and round,
As one who overtaken by the end
Gives up his errand, and lets death descend
Upon him where he is, with nothing done
To evil, no important triumph won,
More than if life had never been begun.

Yet all the precedent is on my side:
I know that winter death has never tried
The earth but it has failed: the snow may heap
In long storms an undrifted four feet deep
As measured again maple, birch, and oak,
It cannot check the peeper's silver croak;
And I shall see the snow all go down hill
In water of a slender April rill
That flashes tail through last year's withered brake
And dead weeds, like a disappearing snake.
Nothing will be left white but here a birch,
And there a clump of houses with a church.

OMG I want to kill you and steal all of your CGability! No, seriously though, it's really good, especially for an art assignment that wasn't even for art class. The trees look likey the're going to eat him or something...

Man-eating trees...interesting... Any art assignment is an art assignment. I can't let it go as anything less.
