Yes, it was rather badly written.
but it's so bad it's good.
I think it's not so much plot driven (well it is)
but it's the characters which make it good : )

I like Twilight, and the next 2 but then you get to #4 and it was worse than the others.
I agree that it's not the best book around, it is little better than fanfiction (but who doesn't love the occasional badly written self insertion fic.. I wrote LOTR ones when I was younger XD) but I still like for some reason...

I like the Twilight series, but I also think it's poorly written. Could have been so much better.

Just read it again recently. The movie was realy good in a different way. Jasper was REALLY hot.
