Description Winter can seem so austere and white, but even on those misty days, colour and detail can be found if you know where to look.

Wow! I love the concept and emotions - both calm and a bit lonely, like the nature is meditating and as always very beautiful and elegant!

Sometimes those misty, grey days of winter are the most promising for me. This brings back some old memories for me. Thanks Wayne

I love fences snow

(could use a bit of this cold down here this week - over 100F It was even over 90F in Seattle last week!!)

that is pretty warm.

It is hot here too, but the nights cool off very nicely, so we get a balance.

that is pretty warm.

I don't know how cool it got last night, but right now it is 15ΒΊC (59ΒΊF). Without that I would cook. I love heat, but I am very used to having some relief too.

lol... well you know I do live in the great white north... and Canada is SO far north of the US.... OK I'm only 12 miles north... but it is a very long 12 miles they say... so yup... a nippy morning.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MoonDarter In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-07-19 03:48:50 +0000 UTC]

Heck, I got you beat. I live north of Canada by a dozen or so miles,* and it was a chilly 22C this morning.

*It's true, even though I live in the "lower 48" of the U.S.

MoonDarter In reply to WayneBenedet [2010-07-20 04:22:31 +0000 UTC]

Just the opposite; southwest Ontario, where it curls under Detroit. I can go due south to get to Canada, although if I go much farther south after that I'll get very wet.

that could be a challenge. Snow really does have colour, but in our minds it is white. Too bad we don't see reality.
