Nicely done, Wayne!Β I love the chromatic contrasts between the cool blue of the sky and the warm yellows of the fields, as well as between the soft textures of the clouds and the rougher textures of the wood and grasses.Β I've been noticing in my own shots of fields how well the 5DS-R brings out texture details (sometimes with a little nudging from Photoshop CC).

I could live here, but would need to plant a forest or two....The capture and surrounding landscape is totally awesome

Go farther north in Saskatchewan and beautiful forests will ermerge surrounding beautiful lakes. I enjoy seeing these views as a record of the past but some of these homesteads are not lived in but are looked out for after. Did the owner appear?

Northern Saskatchewan is very similar to Northern Manitoba where I lived for a number of years.

Your old abandoned houses are so beautifully photographed but I must say they make me feel sad.

I understand... for myself though there is more a sense of nostalgia than sadness

Wayne, Your photographs are always so perfectly presented... this one is exceptional!
I especially enjoy the fine detail in your landscapes. The prairie privy on the far right
is even artistic! Looking forward to viewing your latest journeys. Β Β

Thank you for your thoughts.Β They are very appreciated.
When I studied photography, detail was one of the central issues and had to be visible throughout the print spectrum.Β That concept has stuck with me, and even if the capturing methods have changed, that small thing has continued to be part of my goal.
