Comic tomorrow ( prop error - darn robot kibble was goofing me up so I need to build a variation of something. ) So here's some kitty squee to tide you over.Mak was there first, then 'Nim wandered in and groomed him a bit. When I came back, 'Nim was using Mak as a pillow. This is the first time I've caught 'Nim at snuggle-initiation.
Mak's expression is a 'wherefore you always take pictures?' rather than a 'it is on my tummy and that worries me'.

Our cats have occasional grooming time. Depends on whether or not Stevie is feeling feisty enough to want to play and irritate Sammi.

We have a very strict grooming protocol in this house:
Tyche still acts like a kitten, even at 6+ years. She insists that everyone WILL groom her. She will only groom her sister Kumani in return, and rather halfheartedly.
Kumani, Tyche's sister, recognizes that she is now an adult cat and is always getting hairballs from cleaning her sister as much as she cleans herself, because someone's got to do it.
Smokey loves to Lick Gurlz. Tyche loves it, Kumani tolerates a lick or two before she slaps him, and Nocturne does not want him anywhere near her.
Nocturne licked the kittens when they were kittens, and will now groom Tyche a little just to get her to stop pestering her, and dont' even ASK about what she'd like to do to Smokey. (Unless they're in the kennel together in which case Smokey is suddenly her Best Friend. Then when they come home, she hates his guts again.)
(I think cats are weird by definition.)

I think it's adorable that Nim is grooming Mak. Cats only do that to family.

Our cats have always groomed each other ( mostly - 'Nim would accept groomings from Vader and Janus but only grooms Mak. I've never seen Janus and Mak grooming, though they get along. They might not see each other enough to have quite that level of attachment. ) ( We have weird cats. )
