Description
I had other things to do today, but the Liege Maximo gave me a poke, reminded me that I'd been planning on doing this picture for weeks, and told me I wouldn't be able to do anything else until it was finished. The bugger of it is that I tried doing something else first anyway, and it came out less than great. Stupid myth-being.

Jhiaxus is mostly there as a design element - the picture is of big old Maxi there, but he looked wrong just sitting there doing nothing. I would have preferred to put Rook there, but he's the same colour as Maximo, so he'd get lost in there. Thus, Jhiaxus. Technically, I don't think Jhiaxus can fly in robot-mode, but just this once, I'll claim he can.

This is mostly watercolour pencils over a sketch, with a bit of pencil crayon and Photoshop touch-up. I find the watercolour pencils work best for organic or at least organic-looking things.
