Wednesday art update. Anyway, character for an upcoming bit - an entomorph who calls himself Twinkletoes.

Since the entomorphs have rather non-human vocal set-ups, they can't actually speak human languages ( though most understand it fine. ) And since the entomorph language sounds like a mess of clicky, buzzy static, humans can't speak it or understand the spoken version. ( Before you ask, communication between species is mostly written. That little pouch strapped to Twinkletoes' leg holds a PDA. ) What it comes down to is that entomorphs take on nicknames for when dealing with humans.

Twinkletoes here spends most of his time in the city working as a tour guide, because who wouldn't want to be shown around by a five-foot dragonfly? If he's got his spear, it means he's either tired of human food and wants to go skewer a raw lizard for lunch or is going to take some tourists camping and wants his weapon in case of dangerous animals.

Like I understand the name. Possibly his name in entomorph translates to something like 'Fleet of Foot' and this was the synonym he liked the sound of best. Possibly it was just a word he liked. Maybe a human called him it once and he kept it. Anyway, Twinkletoes.

Not all entomorphs are as friendly and understanding of those squishy space-apes and their concepts of privacy.
