Description I refered to a screen shot from an episode with Yura of the Demon Hair for this ... and yes, it's all dots.

Pen and ink, stipple shading. I had some bad ass $16 a set art pens (well, by mid-90's pricing) that were lost between the moves to Seattle and Oregon ... oh I wish I could find them. I love doing pen and ink ... it brings on such a meditative, zen-like feeling.

InuYasha is copyrighted to Rumiko Takahashi. I just own my dots.

I'm a pixel artist, and even I don't have that kind of patience. Good job.

Sketched it and then "colored" it with many, many, many dots. Oddly, stipple (pen & ink method used) is very soothing to me.

Ooh, I could NEVER take that long to color something!

What's hilarious is that InuYasha himself took about an hour, and the background took me an additional week (I'd take it in 5-15 minute bursts here and there when I felt like it ... I drag my feet about backgrounds).

You could give me the rest of the year, and I STILL wouldn't be able to do that. The dpots, maybe, but the actual drawing? Nope. I swear, it looks just like a screencap. It's perfect!

I based it off a screen cap. It has just been so long that I don't remember where the screen cap came from (I did this about 4 1/2 years ago when I lived in Seattle).

And thank you.

Sweet!

I'm more of a Sesshomaru fan-girl ... however, my husband thinks that Yura is the cat's meow. I'll let him know.

I've thought about doing a Yura piece. I'll do a little research once I've finished my current piece (a large soft-pastel of Sesshomaru).

Thank you. I'm working on a soft pastel piece of Sesshomaru (it's been sitting half finished for two years because I lost some blending tools), and I hope to have the free time to finish it this weekend.

Actually, InuYasha himself was done in about 6 hours - maybe even less. I have no patience for backgrounds, so that took me about another week and half working in 30-40 minute spats.

I've always loved this one! You did such a good job on it! I don't think I'd have the patience to do something like this.

It's meditative. I love doing pen and ink ... and pastels ... OOH! I should finish Lord Sesshomaru this weekend!

Yes, that would be great! We'd have no way of scanning it, though. I guess we could just take a picture of it.

Yeah, but let's use our camera ... the Kyocera may have more MegaPixels, but the pics suck!
