Description A common scene on open Thunder Bay... when two ice masses collide they leave a inverted fissure of heaved ice. I've never seen one quite as winding before.

I climbed on top of a 6 foot pile of ice shards and set up a tricky tripod to get this shot ...a helicopter would've made things easier

shot in late February 2007 at dawn ...

Thats really interesting. It looks almost unreal, even if you say it's really common at Thunder Bay (where is that anyway, sounds like it's in Ontario)

yes .. very common around here! ... and you are right .. t-Bay is in northwestern Ontario on the shore of Lake Superior
