...another perspective to add to my 'Natural Lighting' collection.
There are times when my inspirational tides are ebbing and need a boost ... and these light bulb shots have become somewhat of a symbolic ritual of creative replenishment. After the blinding experience aligning filament with sun, the excitement of finding the next shot always returns to me.
Those familiar with this series may be glad to hear I still carry the same bulb I used in the original 'Natural Lighting' almost 3 years ago. Instead of just wrapping it in paper towel, it now has its own little box which fits nicely in my backpack.

i love this concept.. maybe one day it just might happen.. using something else instead of fossil fuel to generate all of our electricity. i just wish we weren't so reliant on it

Wow, I like this one! I swear, I can feel the heat of the sun! I get seasonal affective disorder, so I'm always attracted to bright light, just like a little moth.

this is definitely one of the best ones. It's elegant. I think you're photographs are most stunning when the forms fit together naturally; like in this shot the lightbulb's round shape works really well with the curved ice surrounding it. It almost looks like little ice people are holding up the lightbulb to try and capture the sun inside it
