Description Well, if she's Saber, why not give her a saber? British 1796 Light Cavalry, of course (custom to her specifications).

Art Notes:

I wondered why Saber was never drawn with a saber, so I decided to draw it myself. I picked Napoleonic era costuming to that end- and also because it looks snazzy.

Saber (Arturia Pendragon) is from the mighty Fate/Stay Night franchise, and I drew this in PaintTool SAI.

Well, more a generic Napoleonic Era British cavalry officer, but still Saber.

It'd be awesome if you did a montage of her dressed in British uniforms throughout the years.

It'd take an awfully long time, though.

Saber can make pretty much anything look good, I figure.

Cute nice work

Looks like she would appear on sharpe (a old tv show about the Napoleonic era or something, don't really know I just heard of it)

Thanks, I'm glad you liked the pic!

And yeah, Sharpe was probably in roughly the same era, so it's possible!

Neat! The uniform details look nicely authentic (at least, when compared to the dress uniform of one of my Army friends), and suit her well.

This picture makes me wonder: Which class of Servant would Arthur Wellesley, 1st Duke of Wellington, be?

Thanks! I checked out some re-enactors pictures, as well as some period drawings to try to get close. Well, adapted for her figure, of course.

As for Wellington, he seems more like a Master to me.

I've always felt that 18th Century military uniform was an attractive look for women.

I agree about Wellington, though he'd have to be a sorcerer for that, wouldn't he? As a historical warrior of legendary status, he should qualify to be a Servant, anyway.

I figure pretty much any uniform can look good (but the late 18th early 19th is especially so) provided it's cut right.

Well they couldn't just call her "Sword"... :<

As notorious as Japanese writers are with Engrishy names (*cough* Refill & Genius from Tales of Symphonia) sometimes they know the value of name marketability over actual relevance. (esp. given most of the other servant aliases) :Þ

Great costume for Arthuria, all the same~

One rumor that I heard was that they originally wanted to call her "Saver", like she was a Paladin, but mixed up the v/b. It makes some sense to me, given her personality and all, but it's also a bit of a stretch.

Maybe she can get a shorter and cuter friend called "Cutlass".

"Seiva! SEIVAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"

(Mm, maybe? I remember Digimon's fifth season was Digimon Savers, which definitely didn't survive the translation~ XD)
