From what I’ve tasted of desire

I hold with those who favor fire.

But if it had to perish twice,

I think I know enough of hate

The creatures that Octavia had come to known as the Dread Father Senisteros and the Shadow Mother Xibalten continued their torment within the realms of her dreams. Lately, the dreams became far more real and horrific with each passing night. Images alone soon became accompanied by faint sounds, scents, and touches. The night before the Domain-shifting disaster happened was by far the worst. Pacing down an underground tunnel with no foreseeable end, forced to keep running down it despite the futility of it all. Suddenly a deafening roar not unlike the bellows of the Lord of Death prompted the serf to make haste down the corridor. Everything began to shake with such mighty force that the dark she-wolf could barely keep herself up with each passing tremor. The ground began to split and fissure beneath her paws as she ran and liquid fire flowed in the rivers below. Octavia opened her maw to scream only to have her lungs fill to the brim with a sudden rush of water. A burst of bubbles escaped in place of her voice. Now is the time for your test of faith, Octavia. The silky smooth purr of Xibalten filled Octavia's ears as she simultaneously burned and drowned. What does this mean? What is happening? Soon she would wake up to a reality not unlike her nightmare.

Decided to do a little dreamy piece as Octavia's initial reaction/pre-reaction to the natural disaster event. This takes place the night prior to the Earthquakes. What will happen to the serfs stuck in the Reeducation pit during this time I wonder? Will the Herald have mercy on these leeches or is this how it ends? Stay tuned. Decided to put the Robert Frost poem over everything because I thought it fit well with the group event.
