Aww, can't wait to see more characters (or are some of your posted charas also part of the story? It must be amazing, tell me please if you publish it or sth similar o.o).

Thankyou!

I consider this the 'first' character from my story to appear on dA. Technically, the one I did of Betel last year is the first, but I've disregarded that painting because it didn't do her justice. I know much more about anatomy now, so my next Betel will look good, I think.

Also, the Cat of Mirth is a minor character. He is a powerful figure in the Liminal Worlds. If I used more old-fashioned language, I would say he's one of Abimelech's familiars. Thanks for being interested!

But you're multi-talented, whereas I'm just good at this type of thing.

Thanks, see you Tuesday!

gah. you are so good at character design and drawing in very interesting little details. I must say that sloth is so gorgeous. I can't wait to see more stuff from your graphic novel, it seems very intermolesting!

the colours are sooo bright and pretty <3
I'm not good at long constructive comments, but I like it.

Oh my graphic novel is intermolesting, believe me!

I use watercolours... with quite a large brush for undercoats and very little brushes for the details. Technically, it's not good to do multiple coats with watercolours coz it makes it all look muddy, but if you're careful you can avoid that and end up with a painting that pretty much looks like it was done with acrylics! I'll probably start using real acrylics soon though, coz their pretty cool and all...

Woah, you've gone all fancy and made the background match dA's xD Awesoome. And maan, yellow xD I was -not- expecting yellow. He looks friendly now. The painted version looks great! The colour is all so vivid. You've done an amazing job with the shading on the yellow on his coat and shoes o-o It's really warm and golden, whereas often people end up making yellows kinda... dirty? Also I really love his staff, the red on the top of it is lovely. The amount of detail you can put into your art will never cease to amaze me. And the slooooth, he looks so cute. Though he's... blue?

Hmm, you have advanced critique encouraged, so I'll find something to critique. I think the with the sloth in the pocket in his jacket, the pocket should really bulge out more or something. Not sure how to explain it, but it just kind of seems like there's no weight in his pocket. That's all I can find to pick on though, really, and even that's only after staring at it for ages.

Uni is really time consuming, isn't it? @_@ It's great to hear you're having a good time and making friends though :3

About the sloth, I know exactly what you mean about the lack of a bulge. Though I will point out that sloths' back legs are MUCH MUCH shorter than their front ones, which is partly why he doesn't take up much space in the pocket. But you're right, I could have done that better!

And thanks for the many other compliments. I'm getting started on another character painting right away because I have a bit of a break from homework this weekend... so hopefully you won't have to wait three weeks for this one!
