Something I do when I'm out of ideas is try and imitate the styles of other artists. It can really help to see things from a different perspective.
My final result usually isn't very good, but I think I've learned something every time I've done it.
(I don't mean straight up stealing their styles and claiming them as my own, btw. Just doing one or two picture which go completely unuploaded.)
