After Me1 I thought it would be Shepard and Liara, but then GarrusΒ became romanceable in ME2... ...
I had to start a new Shepard because I felt bad cheating on her with my first one though.
You really should at least try a playthrough with a Garrusmance. It's seriously the best romance in the game(s) and I've almost played all of them.
BTW this is a fantastic picture. It really captures that Citadel tango.

I'm a Shakarian lover forever. But something about Thane/Shepard always gets me right in the feels. Shakarian is the romance between two friends who love each other and is SO relatable, but Thane/Shep is just that heartbreaking, classic, tragic love story that makes me want to roll into a big ball and sob....forever.
