Oh this is going to steer things in an even worse direction, isn't it?Ah yeah, and here's the TECHNICAL plot reason why Lapis isn't around - she would by her sheer presence lessen the threat of Jasper turning against the others again. I think that when I said I didn't have anything for Lapis to do in the plot, some people took that to mean that I couldn't think of anything. But no, here it is. She would make a big ol' plot hole for this part of the story, and we don't want that.
Also keep in mind that if Jasper just shifts her weight to her hands, it's bye-bye Garnet.

That's the thing about Lapis, she's strong enough to solve the whole plot in ten seconds, really. She managed to steal the whole ocean in her original, damaged state! Now, if she were a full time member...
Jasper goes too far? Throw the Atlantic at her.

Yeah, I got complaints about why Lapis wasn't around, but 1. I had nothing for her to do in the plot, and 2. she'd ruin everything in the plot from this moment on if she was around, so that's why she's on vacation. She might ge a joke cameo at the very end

My goal is to post at least one page a week until the story's done, and it's usually two pages. I normally update on Wednesdays/Thursdays and at some point during the weekend, but it's not a set schedule. We're about twenty pages from the end at this point, but there's also an epilogue
