Description This is Orihime from the legend of Tanabata, the daughter of the ruler of the skies.
She wove beautiful cloth along the banks of the milky way. Though hard working, she was lonely and her father set her up with Hikoboshi, the cowhearder star. The pair fell in love and got married but she then forgot her duties of weaving cloth and he let his cowherds wander the night sky. As punishment, she was separated from her lover and from then on could only meet once a year when a flock of magpies formed the bridge over the milky way...

I love the beautiful colours (blue and purple are my favourites), the details like the bird feathers, the compisition. This is great. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! its really hard to describe the process but in generally just big splashes of color that are gradually refined with various washes

Ohh cool! That sounds smart!
But are they really vibrant colors at
once? Or do u uses a few layers??
Thats usually what I do, a few layers, over
layers, then I add copics over it, and gell
pens too.
And penwork too.
(usually brown.)
It would be really cool to see how u do ur
process!

It usually takes about 3-4 washes of colors laid on fairly thickly at first. This piece was completely done in Watercolors since I am not very good with markers.
Maybe Ill get around to showing my process one of these days...
