If you ask me, in my mind they're just mutated Magnemite which duplicated/multiplied its pard of body and is still humanmade Pokemon, so doesn't develop its intelligence or "personality" much more- it might only display/self-controll "instincts" and emotion better.
It doesn't get such "schizophrenia", but more of mood swings. that's my headcanon and poke-sciene about it.
There can be exception, sure, but they're uncommon and might even lack levitating energy from losing too much energy of such "inside struggle".
In polish it would be fun pun to say that it would suffer from too much tension...which in polish would be "napiΔcie" which is same as voltage
