Wohooo! Orb pendants! Galazy spheres! I'm creating worlds again.
Ever since my hand injury in July I've been avoiding this. The movement needed and finger/wrist pains made it impossible to do anything decent since the "pencil grip" been one of the "NOES!" according to my body. Very little crafting, no needlework, no drawing no nothing. I've been going bonkers. Just a little bit.
Been crafted things using my elbow instead or stuff not needing fine motoric skills, like stuff for the post-apocalypse larp. A little wonky there is even encouraged.
So the feeling to be able to sit down and creating three little lampworked sphere/galaxy pedants just some days ago was a real victory. I'm so happy to be back, and even though I'll have to take it very slow and go with baby steps at least I'm able to get an outlet for all my ideas.
These are the eggs of the legendary Fairyfrog, ready to hatch into new worlds of Weird Wondrousness!
Lampworked glass from Italy, China and Germany, sprinkled with some American rocket science and Italian secret gem recipes from the middle ages. Flame crafted and sculpted, then annealed.
The picture is the same sphere, only from different angles. The depth is amazing and can't be conveyed in photographs.
And I'm getting red hues now! Never had that before!
