I personally headcanon Gildor as Finrod's son with Anarië who went to Middle Earth for the War of Wrath and stayed, but nice idea

(Premise is that Celegorm is trans and had bby Gildor with Finrod, since he and Curufin spent so much time at Nargothrond... *wink wink* yeah it's a little tragic but as with all greenekangaroo stories, it's well written and believable.)
