I find the simplicity of this photo really compelling. Its elegance reminds me that I don't have to travel to far away places to take great photos.

The dainty vine seems to take on the " appearance" of delicate arms wrapping around the wooden post; it physically uses the post as support, but the picture can also be addressing relationships that hinge on one being the "stable rock' and of the other being a seeker for emotional support.

Beautiful tones, great composition, nice placement of the leaves in the frame, it moves your eye over every piece of the pole. The shot makes me think of isolation on the edge of death. The vine is the one natural piece in the photo being dominated by the industrial pole, while at the same time using and over taking the pole, but waiting for the industrial hedge trimmers to end its life.

I love this picture, great expressive meaning to this shot, we have to wrap ourselves around something stronger for support, thats what love is about. The black and white works realy well with this shot, and the perspective couldnt be any more perfect, you managed to capture leaves in appropriate spots, the texture in the leaves is just wonderfull and excellent touch with the blurring of the background. Realy well done.

Aw, this is a very sweet and yet sad picture, it looks as though the vine is clinging to dear life to the pole, and yet maybe the vine has to leave, and it doesn't want to. Two very different subjects you've photographed here and yet they balance each other out.

B&w at times manages to portray a msg much better the with colour.... colour makes us focus elsewhere... while here the leaves... and entanglement of the "ivy", or whatever it is, to the trunk, matches exactly to your description... the entanglement of a couple when they are bound in love.. great concept...
