Even the line art I tried it but I get so much anti-alias the lines look blurry as hell. I have to do the line art in Illustrator then open it in photoshop and not rasterize the layer or it will turn to crap.

haaha, yeah, when i came up with the idea, i remembered the rood blade, i played that game a lot, and i like all of Yoshida's art. =]

Check out Squaresoft's "Vagrant Story" for that design. The most powerful weapon is called the Rood Blade which is a two handed sword with two sword blades crossed over it. They don't have handles as this spear does, but I suspect that was the original inspiration for it. Badass game too.
