Description
Mukui: paying for one's sinshis scars are of purple/dark colors, this is due to his regular dosage of unusual medicines and drugs. He is also said to be immune to poison.

scars tell what a warrior's been through. there're like badges to them. this guy mustve fought countless battles to have his body covered with them. he also shows fearlessness and confidence, altogether is describing him to be...well, badass. lol

I don't feel I have much of a right to critique your work since you're a bajillion times better than I am, but I've been studying anatomy a lot lately and want to point out that his Serratus anterior muscles are too close to his abdominal muscles. The "seam" where the two rows connect should be aligned on a 45 degree angle with his nipples and the hollow between his clavicle bones. I'm sorry! I normally have no complaints about your work but I've been tainted by all the Burne Hogarth books I've been reading to improve my anatomy skills and that was the chief thing that stuck with me because I had such a problem with it myself.
Other than that, it's amazing as usual. No one else on this site warrants my envy as much as you do.

His eyes are a little derpy, his nose and forehead seem to be one flat surface instead of there being a curve in the bridge of the nose, and his ears seem a tad big. In short, his face kinda kills the picture.
That being said, it's amazing how much detail is in this. For a second, I thought it was concept art for a Soul Calibur character.

Well done, as always; I like how you portrayed the movement of the fabric, and the textures and colours of the image itself, even his "bring it" expression is quite amusing and rather awesome. That being said, it seems that the scars look more like tattoos than actual scars.

Not one to be judgy at all, I think you're art is fantastic, but this one needs some work. particularly with the abs and around that area. It looks almost like the fake painted on abs from the spook movie of 300. (I forget what it's called. The lines are too hard there.
I don't mean this as an attack in any way. I mean it solely to be constructive criticism.

Am I the only one that think those scars doesn't look 'natural'. I dont mean the color but the depth: Looks more tatoo to me then scars.

As much as I love your work, I see some issues with this one.
First of all,the face just looks.......I don't know.
The scars look less detailed as scares and more like tattoo's.
I'm not sure what kind of constructive criticism I can give based on those two things, cause, I don't us the programs you do or do art like you do x.x just a personal observation.

I think I know what you mean; the hair and the face and the belt have super defined lineart, but the torso and the scars and clothing wrinkles are a lot more vague and and don't match the rest of the image :0c

The scars look like tattoos o_O The bandages a bit, too, because of how tightly they sit on the skin.
I like the little claw-like ends of the sword's handle and guard tho.

It does look like the upper body was done by one person and the pants and legs etc by another. I think it's because of the shading, but would need a flatcolor version to confirm that.

More along the lines of very long legs that look directly attached to the abdomen sans a pelvis.
That and the painted on abs.
