Description Re-organizing one of my bookshelves, I came across an old copy of William Gibson's seminal sci-fi cyberpunk epic "Neuromancer" and was inspired to create something along those lines, so I came up with this piece.  It's pretty simple: a digital charcoal sketch layered on top of layers of abstract textures and fractal images I had created for a futuristic style music video I did a couple of months ago. Looking at it now, it sort of reminds me of evil A.I. in the old video game "System Shock."

I have not read the second in the trilogy but actually read "Mona Lisa Overdrive" years after reading "Neuromancer", not knowing at all that it was part of the trilogy. I don't remember much about it now looking back except that I read it pretty quickly and found it rather enjoyable, but my experience with it was ultimately overwhelmed by my reading of John Brunner's incredible "Stand on Zanzibar", whose ecologically dystopian narrative seems more and more prophetic with every passing year, unfortunately.

Have you read the trilogy? And if so, did I miss anything by skipping over "Count Zero"?

Yes I've read the trilogy, it's a loosely linked series with the 2 things that tie the books together are the AI that's at the core of Neuromancer and Molly, and yes Count Zero is a very good story.

I love system shock. This is so awesome, evil and transcendent malice made real by technology
