Hot damn WendigoMoon, all your work is so rich with subtle details I am so impressed every time I look at any of them!
Is that a city-scape in silhouette making up the negative space behind the enthralled, framed by the king's tattered robes?

It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living god.

Wonderful depiction of the subject! Tastefully macabre - like the story.

One of the best illustrations I've seen, and most evocative. It makes me wonder what doomed narrative was at play in this unknown world.

Thank you so much! I tried to combine all the most crucial aspects of the tales into this piece - Cassilda, Carcosa, the yellow sign (at the top), a few of the tortured souls who have happened upon the haunted play, and of course the king himself. Hastur, the king, is holding the manuscript for the play in one hand and a pen in the other, implying that he is the one who wrote it to begin with - in my mind, as a means of bringing himself (or his presence at the very least) into our world, as though it's some kind of enchanted talisman that operates as a psychokinetic/mental key for unlocking the doorway between our world and the world on the other side.

I love the contrast of this. The blinding and majestic imagery of The King in juxtaposition to the darkness of the insanity he brings is truly awesome.
