Yes, we only see them in the summer and always feel very happy to spot one. They're a bit clownish but beautiful. Here in France they call them poo poo birds because that's the noise they make.

Ha ha, here in the Eastern side of the USA our special birds are blue herons, hawks, the rare eagle, and vultures. You're lucky.

It's called a hoopoe, although here in France they call them poo poos because that's the noise they make. They only come here in the summer so it's always great to see one cos you know that winter is over. They tend to walk about on the grass looking for insects. A bit funny looking though but cute!
