Well, suffice to say, folks, I've gotten a new obsession. Arthurian Legend. *coughnothankstothetvshowmerlincough*

ANYWHO, TO THE STORY.

Bradley McArthur seems like the most normal, average kid you could know. High School Senior, Star of the Soccer Team, fair grades. He's the guy next door. But he also has a secret. His father is a Knight. No, not your simple kneel on one knee with a sword by the queen of england knight. An actual warrior knight, a protector of the realm. He belongs to the secret order RoundTable, an organization descended from the original Knights of the Round Table, created by King Arthur himself. RoundTable has gone global, acting from the shadows to keep the peace worldwide. They make sure that the world has order and stability. Sometimes, it is from the world itself, but other times, it is from the forces of evil that have risen to try and bring society to ruin.

The agents of RoundTable, actual Knights, though modernized, carry out the will of the organization. Ulric McArthur, Bradley's father, is a Knight of the highest order in RoundTable. Though Bradley McArthur seems like the guy next door, his father has been training him since a young age to be a Knight. Upon Bradley's 18th birthday, he is ready to be inducted into the order.

Knights are scarce. Not everyone has what it takes to be a protector of the realm. But when darkness strikes Bradley's hometown of Melot (pronounced Mellow), California (get it...Melot, CA ), he is forced to take action. Ulric informs Bradley that they are the one true bloodline of RoundTable--they are the descendant of the legendary King Arthur Pendragon. Bradley is inducted into RoundTable as its newest knight, and Ulric is promoted to RoundTable's Head, the second highest position in the entire organization, second only to the Tablemaster. But she's busy reigning over a kingdom overseas.

Ulric has seen the signs surfacing recently, and presents Bradley with a ring. He says that he believes the time has come for the First Knights to return and protect earth from evil. Bradley wears the ring and immediately feels a surge of power, power Ulric tells him is the power of King Arthur himself. The ring belonged to the Legendary King himself, and only his heir could wield its power.

Soon enough, strange monsters begin attacking Melot. Bradley, as a Knight, rushes in to fight. But he doesn't, however, suspect his friends from school to as well. Merrick, Bradley's friend since preschool and class valedictorian, is only steps behind his best friend. Surprisingly, he fights off the monsters well, but even more surprising, he wills objects to move around with his mind, without even realizing it.

Gwen, Bradley's girlfriend, Student Body President and Volleyball captain, fights alongside her boyfriend, but manages to keep up with him. Her hits land perfectly without even seeming to aim them. She moves flawlessly.

Lance, The quarterback and all-around jock, never misses a chance for physical activity, and doles out his punishment. He finds, though, he can do things he never knew he could. He fights with moves he never knew he could perform. His body takes over and he turns into a pure fighter.

Gavin, Merrick's scrawny buddy and the head of the school newspaper, reluctantly follows the group into the fray. He punches one of the monsters and sends it flying, the first insight into his massive strength he never knew he had.

The monsters lay wasted at their feet, just as four rings fly from the sky, adjusting themselves on the groups' fingers. They're the exact same as Bradley's ring. When he confronts Ulric about it, he says simply that "It has begun." The rings belonged to the original Knights of the Round Table. Once Arthur's ring was activated, the other rings awoke, revived by their oath to protect and serve their king. Ushered into RoundTable and trained to combat monsters and magic, the five teens will wield their rings and the armor they entail to defend the world from the impending evil.

Right, so, there's the story. Arthurian Power Rangers

Each of the rings act as the morpher. Upon their morphing call, which I have yet to figure out, the rings produce their armor and weaponry, even summon their Mounts (zords).

Bradley McArthur, The Red Knight, is the descendant of King Arthur and wields the Red Ring and the power of fire. His weapon is a sword and his mount is The Dragon.

Merrick, The Blue Knight, wields the Blue Ring of Merlin and the Power of Water. He is now able to practice magic. His weapon is a staff and his mount is a Unicorn.

Gwen, The Pink Knight, wields the Pink Ring of Guinevere and the Power of Wind. She is now just as royal as the queen she embodies; her attacks land perfectly and flawlessly, especially her arrows. Her weapon is the Bow and her mount is the Faerie.

Lance, The Yellow Knight, wields the Yellow Ring of Lancelot and the Power of Lightning. He now has unparalleled fighting abilities, knowing every form of combat there is. His weapon is the flail and his mount is the Griffin.

Gavin, The Green Knight, wields the Green Ring of Gawain and the Power of Earth. He now has the strength of 300 men. His weapon is the axe and his mount is the Hound.

So, yeah. Really psyched about this team. Hopefully I'll draw some bad guys and mounts soon, along with each knight.
