"WTF!!! Get off the sand!" I shouted, "Stop making footprints all over this view!"She happily threaded along and dragged her feet (hence the abnormal footprints) as I was focussing and composing the shot. She laughed and told me to hurry up. Her brother is at the far end collecting shells or something.
I thought the picture would be ruined, but you know, I liked it.

I liked it too, not because of the technique, but maybe because of the "honestness" of this pic.
It's really different, and refreshing from those photos that want to be number one (remember high school?), to be on the damned daily deviations spot.
But considering it's a 350D, you should have made it more contrasted.

This was originally a color picture, but the colors were not too good although I did shoot this with B&W in mind.
I'm still getting used to the 350D, it's a beautiful machine and I'm learning something new each time I look through the viewfinder. I'll try out your suggestion
