This is my 2nd try after The Hunter at blending my curvilinear lines with the rendering of my usual work. I chose to make the rendering a bit more modest and laid back. I'm very happy with the turn out with this one. Next semester I'm planning to do a series of fairytale themed pieces and this style so I should get plenty of practice with it then.This is not based on any particular story but more just a representation of the menacing danger that dragons often pose in fairytales. After all if there's not a problem to be solved whats the point of a hero?

Sorry if this bugs but I was wondering if perhaps you have played Elder Scrolls: Skyrim? I figured you would have played it, since its such a big fantasy game! BTW I really love the pose of the dragpn and the knight! Very lovely colouring and line work keep it up!

I love how the dragon has an almost mechanical look to it and swirls menacingly around the statue which seems to be watching him.

I love the soft pastel colours here. And your stylised lineart blends surprisingly well with the shading. Lovely artwork from tip to toe! I'm sure the painting series will turn out wonderfully!

Brilliant. Like the contrast of the blue-green of the statue with the orange-gold of the dragon.
By the way, are there that many dragons in fairy tales? Off the top of my head I can think only of "Die zwei BrΓΌder" and some retellings of the legend of St. George for children (and one fairy tale which my grandmother used to tell which may have been an alteration of Anderson's "FyrtΓΈiet").
I await your fairy tale series with monstrous anticipation.

I am planning to make a series of Illustrations for the Estonian fairytale The Dragon of the North. Which is of course just one of many dragon themed tales. Often "Dragon" can refer to any sort of monster as well, not necessarily the traditional dragons we tend to think of.
