Qrow Branwen, an legendary elite American operator who is now team leader of his own tactical paramilitary unit known as "Ace" and his second-in-command is his wife, Winter. He was ordered to hire a team of mercenaries known as Night Raid to liberate Eastern Europe from the Soviet Empire. He also had a relationship with the leader of Night Raid, Najenda who was ex-special forces of the Soviet Empire until she was totured and kept prisoner for being a traitor where Qrow rescued her. After thinking that Night Raid was killed in Belarus, Qrow finds out that there are survivors and are still liberating Eastern Europe which he gather a small team of Ace operators and deployed to Russia where it is the heart of Soviet Empire and their last stand.
