Keith is an former Army Ranger and Lance is an former marine scout sniper. Keith is annoyed by Lance as he keeps offering challenges to see whose the best but Lance just trying to see if he could handle being an operative of Voltron. But throughout the story they're the closest friends in the team and deadlier together.
