When the crows fly away in fear, raining black feathers like ashes on the glittering surface of the snow, a blizzard rises. In the darkening depths of the forest, through a veil of fluttering snowflakes, you can see a creature whose burning eyes are staring at you. The creature blinked and turned, walking calmly away. You don't know that it has come to take you to the other side of the bridge, but out of desperation and growing anxiety, you go after it. You see viburnum berries bounce off the creature's hooves like blood splatters, leaving a path along which you slowly follow the creature. It looks at you again, as if asking "Are you sure you want to go?" and after your tacit consent continues to lead you further into the forest. Soon you see the river, its calm waters rippling uneasily with the rising wind. The creature enters the water, and you, as if spellbound, step after it, not daring to resist the call of the dead. The creature's long tail entangles you, stronger and stronger, like a spider wrapping its prey in silken threads. It gets darker and darker under the soft hair, and you can hear the song the dead are singing, and your eyelids fall softly.
The creature untangles the lifeless body and bends it's head, sending the lost soul on the last journey.
