I love it, and I'm looking forward to seeing part 3 and beyond. The Taurohs and the worldbuilding in general are so off mainstream I think most viewers will be forgiving if the characters tend to be somewhat archetypical. A Princess of Mars and the original book that The Godfather was based on were pulp fiction but it didn't matter because they were going off the beaten path. However, if you really want unique characters one way you could go about it is imagining personalities you actually know in real life and imagining how they would interact in various roles on Asteria. However, one danger of fully exploring characters is that it can lead to convoluted writing, a la ASOIAF.

Sorry it took me so long to reply to this, I found this comment very helpful! I definitely did not consider basing it off people who I know-a bit strange, since it seems like such a simple solution. I understand your caution over making overly complex characters muddle the story, but I don't think it'll be too much of a problem, at least in comparison to Game of Thrones. Game of Throne's story is super complex with 10 massive events happening at once along with character developments. This story, on the other Β hand, is comparably far more simple. Sure, there are huge background world building things all over this story, but the comic's plot is pretty much just "Things attacked a station, find and potentially kill them", with a couple of twists put in.Β
