Description
After leaping ahead one year from the Infinite Crisis, DC made the decision to make Batgirl a villain. It was an extremely poor decision, and one they are currently working to correct. She has killed many in this sort time as a "bad guy," and as she says herself, it's just not right.Related content

My favorite Batgirl of all times. DC screwed up royally when they tried to made her a villain. Awesome art.

The color is amaing, but if the background was more bleak, it would probably express her sorrow more.

She was part of Titans East in Teen Titans 43, when Slade assembled a group to take out the Titans. It was revealed here that she was brainwashed into being a villain after One Year Later by Slade.
And I see what you mean about the background, I need to watch that more in the future.

I agree. It's wrong and it has led me to agree with Chris Dee (fellow Deviant). DC is now nothing but a tabloid, messing all over our icons and heroes. Best to leave this stuff to the fans who still appreciate them as it is clear that you do.

Yeah what a tragedy, everyone seems to forget, she was a joyful killer before becoming Batgirl.
Kinda hard for a tiger to change her stripes, but the editorial staff caved to the fans and made her "mind controlled".

That's harsh. True, they've messed with the lives of some good characters like Conner and Bart, but they made Green Lantern cool again, and frankly, I'm actually interested to see where they're going with this multiple-crisis thing they're doing.

A lovely looking piece indeed. The "metaphorical" blood, (I believe it is), look very realistic, and her facial expression and pose go really well together too. Once more, fantastic work on the shading, and I like the almost sepia-tone this has, a neat touch.

Simplistic (color-wise) but still impressive. Is that the actuall color of the suit? I am not aware of all the details but I understand your frustration. I hate when my favorite characters are given a crapy new look (Live Transformers Movie Megatron is the best example of this) or turned into something so different, as in this case.

Her costume is actually straight black leather, so I've come to understand. I try not to quibble too much when they change the visual look of a character I like, because when I hear people complain about a thing before it even comes out, I feel they're not being very fair to the people creating it. Of course, Batgirl turning bad was not one of those things that deserves to be understood. It just isn't right. They did reveal that she was drugged by Slade in the recent TT comics, but I want to see where she goes from here.

I am just so surprized...oh well they killed off jason todd and tried to bring him to life again in another deminsion, they killed off alfred and brought him back, I guess they can try to correct this abomination too

nice work... and agreed, it wasn't a great move. in the world of superhero comics, everybody takes a turn being possessed (everybody), evil (hal jordan), broken (batman) and/or dead (uhm, everybody except batman)

Hense one of the reasons I don't read DC anymore. That, plus their massive amount of token characters, pissing all over my favorites, bringing Jason Todd back, and the horrid lameness that is Kid Devil. Other reasons as well, but lets not get into that.
Someone should make a comic where Winter Soldier kills Jason Todd (for good this time) and then beats some sense into Batgirl. Then have Deadpool go into the writer's office and beat the crap out of them, since he's famous for, sometimes literally, breaking the fourth wall.

Heh, Deadpool is good for that. DC should be so lucky. I still love DC, because they picked up the slack when I couldn't bear to read Marvel anymore. Yeah, they've made a lot of bad decisions with their characters, such as Batgirl going bad, Jason coming back, and all the rest, but good stories and characters still shine through if you look for them. I'm currently hooked on Green Lantern, which I just think is one of DC's best properties.
