and there are so many things wrong with it i'll try and list what i can remember:

1) the chick is 18 years old. and she's the world's greatest assassin.
2) she only started learning at 8, taught by the KING OF ASSASSINS and somehow surpassed him
3) she was enslaved at 17, so then she only had nine years of training to overpower him
4) she also knows piano???? like with all the training she's been doing idk how she managed to fit in piano lessons
5) love triangle. enough. friggin. said.
6) she keeps talking about how cool and awesome she is but we never actually SEE any of it
7) she also reads and eats a lot bc she's ~not like other girls~
8) every other girl is portrayed as stupid or slutty, except for nehemia, who thinks like celaena does. bc GOD FORBID women actually like dresses!
9) this line "After that, she’d sworn never to trust girls again, especially girls with agendas and power of their own. Girls who would do anything to get what they wanted."
10) she's also MAGIC!!!!!!!
11) she somehow managed to get kidnapped and arrested even tho she's the strongest assassin?? like????? how??
12) she's always talking about how she's ~so strong~ but then she gets weak as shit whenever the story requires it
13) she also speaks MULTIPLE LANGUAGES. HOW CAN SHE FIT ALL OF THIS INTO HER SCHEDULE. SHE'S 18.
14) she has a ~tragic love story~ because why the fuck not
15) she keeps taking notes of escape routes but she NEVER TAKES THEM. WHATS THE POINT OF MENTIONING THIS IF IT DOESNT LEAD TO ANYTHING????

and this is just what i can think of - from the FIRST book. trust me my dearest sugarplum, this story is mediocre at best
