This is my first ever critique. I never planned on any. but this piece is so beautiful, I just had to say something about it!
Vision and Originality and Impact:
The leaves are gorgeous in how instead of green...or any other typical colors...they're purple! It gives the photo more light and color. Very pleasing to the eye and certainly original. The feather is not perfect. It seems as though it's been through alot, which makes it very special. Kinda like...a little imperfection among such happiness and brightness of the leaves. Typically photographers try to find perfection in they're photographers. At least in my opinion. They try to play with they're photos and sometimes miss what makes they're photos so unique by overdoing it. The natural light reflects very nicely on the feather. The impact it gives me is "You can always find light during troubled times."
At first, I missed the small feather under the big one. It's gorgeous! I don't know how to comment on it. It's just really amazing how you can find so much in this photogrpah as long as you look enough to admire the extra details.
Technique:
Great contracts and position of the camera. More natural light would be nice though.
I can find much wrong in the photo. I'm not much of a critic. I only look towards the positive. But I will point out things that are oviously wrong about a photo. Which I can not find here. Of couse, more qualified people could do better!
