Name: "Princess" Galexis (Even though she greatly dislikes this title)

Nickname: Lexi

Gender: Mare

Apparent Age: 18

Species: Alicorn

Occupation: Master Star Maker and Placer

Backstory:

Many, many moons ago, a 'star' fell down from the heavens and landed in the humble town known as Ponyville. As the dust faded, a baby filly was found safely nestled up inside the broken star. The tiny pegasus was taken up by an Earth Pony known as _________, who raised her as her own. As she grew older, the tiny pegasus who was dubbed 'Stardust', became more curious with the night sky each time it came. At this time, the sky only had one star - The star that her foster mother said she was born from. Determined to find out who she really was, she practised flying on a regular basis, and attempted to fly to the singular star each night after that. Her mother became anxious, and forbade her to fly to the star again. Sorrowful, little Stardust would watch over the star for ages before she finally went to sleep by the window.

This continued for a long time, until a storm cloaked Ponyville in a dark and thunderous blanket. Stardust was concerned for her star as she couldn't see it, so as her mother went to bed she flew up to find it and comfort it. The higher she flew, the harder the wind would blow. The harder she pumped her wings, the louder the thunder would pound. Determined to find the star, she flew as hard as she could against the storm until she suddenly burst through the thick cloud and ultimately crashed into the large white star before she could slow down. As a result, it shattered and the shards scattered over the sky above the clouds. Bursting into tears, she mourned for her dear star, trying to collect the pieces again and put it back to its wholesome form. As she gathered the broken pieces, she was startled to find Princess Luna hovering behind her, smiling at her. Fighting back the tears, she begged for forgiveness after breaking her only existing star.

Princess Luna hushed and explained to little Stardust that she had been searching for a way to spread light and decoration over her beautiful navy skies for a long time, and admitted that she was surprised at how Stardust had discovered how to do it. She said that Celestia and herself would watch her fly up towards the sky each night before she would turn back after growing tired. She also told her that she was the only pony to ever attempt to fly as high as the star. She took the star fragments with her magic and explained that it was possible to make more stars out of the broken ones. With a special look in her eye, Luna offered Stardust the chance of a lifetime.

She and her mother were taken into the Princess' castle as Stardust was to learn about the beauty of the night. Taken under Luna's wing, so to speak, she was taught everything she needed to know about the deep navy blue. The time came where Stardust attempted to recreate a star from a piece of the broken one. Her mother, Luna and Celestia all watched as she delicately crafted the tiny star with the help of the knowledge she had attained from her teacher, and her mysterious inner-radiance that she began to emit as she started to get the hang of of it. Her mother looked on with pride as the sisters gave each other a hopeful glance.

As she had finished sculpting the tiny crystal-like thing, a white light shot out from its core and spread its glow around the room. As the flash subsided, a beautiful marking had appeared on little Stardust's flank; A large white star, being followed by smaller ones, leaving a trail of soft pink and purple. "It is time" Celestia announced as she spread a wing over the young mare. Luna beamed and followed her sister's actions as they took Stardust into the realm that only the two royal sisters had access to. Dazzled, excited, nervous, confused; Stardust was unsure of what was happening. Celestia showed images of her past and explained why she was where she stood.

"It is time for you to fulfil your destiny.."

A glowing light emerged from Stardust's chest and swirled around her, lifting her up into the air and finally exploding into a display of shooting streams of white, pink, lilac and purple. When the light subsided, Stardust lifted her head to reveal a horn had suddenly appeared on her forehead, which made her an Alicorn. Her short pink and lilac mane was now multicoloured and sparkling, constantly changing and flowing. She was greatly overwhelmed. "Now that you've shown us that you are the one, I dub thee Princess Galexis."Shocked by what the royal sisters had done, she was worried that she would no longer be her regular old self. Losing her name and being given a horn and a funky do out of nowhere wasn't what she wanted at all! Although her mother and the rulers of Equestria encouraged her to wear her title with pride, she still wanted them to call her Stardust wherever possible.

Being a "Princess" meant she had to wear her crown, her necklace, and her special horse-shoes on a regular basis - But she didn't want any of that. She wanted to remain as normal as possible what with her new head and shoulders. So, she kindly refused. The sisters respected her wishes and told her that she would only need to wear them for very special occasions.

Now, a very calm, and regal ruler, she can get shy when she needs to perform her royal duties. She feels herself the most when she is in her Star-Making Workshop, making the twinkling lights she places up in Luna's night every evening. She is quite sensitive, but she knows when to stand her ground. She hopes to live alongside all of the other ponies and lead a life that is normal as possible, being the humble pony she is.
