This. Is. Epic. Everything is perfect, except one thing. Why is it that Dracula is always portrayed as living in a castle? why couldn't it be an elaborate cave system or something? Everything else though, perfect. sorry if I came across bluntly, but this is my first critique and I am saying what I think, and I think it is amazing. The swarm of bats, torches, dead trees, and full moon were all nice touches. The mountain range in the background really helped with the perspective, and the fog- it set the pictures mood just right. This Is Awesome. Period.

I must say, you have captured this scene perfectly. From the bats and torches to the mist and castle. It's all very vampiry in looks. The rocky mountains in the background add a nice touch and so do the bats placed under the moon.
This piece of work looks like a barren, desolate, dark and scary place. Perfect for Dracula. I love the cleverly hidden crow on the tree to the left, it blends in and yet doesn't.
That looks like people on the road to the castle, carrying torches. I like that, it is perfectly accurately correct. Up on the cliff where the viewer is standing, 'us', looks to be snow correct? It looks dusted with snow, adding a cold look to the place, achieving exactly the look you were going for I am sure.
All in all, I think this is a lovely piece of work to see from you, one of your best pieces I say. Very nice.

This is just too awesome.
Everyone should look at the progress-file Whendell is providing to understand my euphoria.
The mountains just look perfect, the fog works great with the scene, giving it a mysterious and dangerous touch.
The castle is a masterpiece. Whendell created it around an outline, it is very difficult to follow an outline while maintaining the natural look of building structures. It doesn't look like randomly fused buildings, it really looks like build this way.
The dead trees & the bat swarm add even more awesomeness to this manip, making it look more abandoned & scarier.
The work with light sources is just perfect. I especially like the difference between the soft castle light and the intense torch light of the citizens (at least I hope it is a group of citizens e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s⦠" width="15" height="15" alt="
The small torch lights make the castle look even bigger and more amazing.
