How should I say? Well, original... difficult to interpret and to explain, but that gives it some interest actually. Blue in the midst of that black and white drawing.

You definitely chose a lovely reference to fit the concept, or vice versa whichever came first to you. I actually like the texture of the scrapbook paper, it gives it this vintage look and looks well with the rough texture of the splatters as well. You could try and add in some white chalk in there, too to add some highlights to her face and the orb shapes.
