Description This piece, modeled after the classical Roman statue “Farnese Hercules” with Superman replacing Hercules and the bottled City of Kandor replacing the hide of the Nemean Lion, celebrates late ‘50s early ‘60s Al Plastino and Curt Swan era Silver Age Superman comics, It was a time when the arctic Fortress of Solitude could only be opened by a giant key disguised as an airplane guiding arrow, and when Superman faced off against villains like Luthor and Brainiac with the help of people like Supergirl and Jimmy Olsen and using whatever powers the writers wanted Supes to use that issue some of which included: super-weaving, super-mathematics, and shooting miniature versions of himself from his fingers. And Lois was always wondering who Superman was never quite realizing it was mild mannered reporter Clark Kent. It’s fun campy sci-fi infused superhero goodness.
