Make Note of Every Sound - Seven Saturdays-
With the nice effect I achieved in the last few portraits, I wanted to try drawing a woman with hair based on the northern lights. Take a look for yourself at how beautiful they are viewed from space! www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVMgnm…
Hair is so fun and cathartic to draw. I could just draw hair for the rest of my life, I think. But for the sake of my watchers, I will attempt to branch out occasionally.
The hair took about 10 minutes to draw, and from start to finish this was about 30 minutes (I fiddled with the stars and gradient colors a lot).

I'm not familiar with this character. Who is he and why don't you like him? 
But also I was thinking less anime? This guy's pretty goofy looking. I was thinking like big stalky red headed dude, but like Maristela his hair and beard are more elemental appearing, but still within the lines of a normal hairline. So his beard would just appear to be all fiery I guess?

He's from My Hero Academia: bokunoheroacademia.wikia.com/w… In essence, even though he's a high-ranking superhero (technically a "good guy"), he's an abusive jerk who sees other people as tools to success, obstacles in his path, or useless.
And yeah, I have an idea of what you're getting at. MHA characters do look pretty silly a lot of the time. XD I typically prefer to draw something in my usual style rather than copy from an anime.
