Description
(5/25/23) Turning off comments because they've started to become a bit of a debate ground and that is NOT what I intended when I made and posted this. I know the majority of fans and the fandom DON'T feel the same way I do and are very vocal in berating, bullying and tearing down those who express similar opinions as mine. It's a major problem in the Hazbin/Helluva fandoms and a huge part of my personally distancing myself from the series and fandom. I really don't want such toxicity and drama to leach further into other spaces and communities of mine. Harassment, name-calling, and discourse have escalated recently as of this update, which has resulted in an "us vs them" mob mentality against ANY sort of criticism or analysis that isn't a 100% positive, glowing review, praising Viv's work. So, I'm cutting it off before anything should escalate and turn things heated here. My thoughts and opinions are my own. Whether you agree or disagree with them, I don't want my art and post becoming a point of contention full of vitriol and hate.

I briefly had a thought about Stella the other day and it eventually made me want to draw her. She deserves at least one drawing ♡
I barely have any interest left in Helluva at this point but there's a few characters whose designs I really love and they have so much potential, I can't help liking them. But, Stella... Oh, Stella, she had soooooo much potential and she was done so dirty and I can't forgive the decision to make her such a flat, one dimensional, purely evil "villain", when there were so many directions to have gone with her. I know it's an unpopular opinion and the fandom tends to ridicule everyone who loves her, wanted more for her and were upset with where her character went but it infuriates me and we're allowed to be upset and disappointed no matter what anyone says.
How do you make a female character whose sole purpose since childhood was to be forced into a loveless marriage and to produce a child whether she wanted to or not and was never given any other choice, just the big bad woman standing in the way of your precious sto/litz ship? Like, you literally turned her into the trope of female character getting in the way of the yaoi ship. And to also release this at the height of the debate over bodily autonomy and abortion rights? Again, she's a character whose entire purpose in life, which was decided for her by other people, is to be a wife and birth a child??? And she had no choice or say in the matter. Do you not see the issue here? She has every right to be upset and outraged at what has been done to her in my opinion and seeing as they are demons in hell, of course doing horrible, immoral things is going to be in their nature and is going to be 100% normal behavior. Her reaction shouldn't be that outrageous considering the setting... Just.... Why is she somehow this horribly evil, irredeemable villain who deserves no sympathy, when her story in almost any other setting would be seen as tragic, unjust and sympathetic, even as a villain?
IDK I'm going to just wrap this mess up, before I go off on a full blown rant. Bottom line is, Stella was done dirty and deserved so much better and I am bitter about it. lol
