I would tend to agree, lol. People are always so certain that their characters have to pop, to be super different, and stand out. but the normal ones people can identify with more

Yep, I agree ! I think, the more important is not the character by itself but the story

I know right ! I'm afraid that she may look like a Mary-Sue because she isn't. Well, I don't think she is. She can't control her powers because she doesn't know how to. Plus, she's vertigo so she can't fly. And due to this mix, she has a strange personality. She can yell at you and insult you and just a second after, crying, panic and begging you to forgive her and then to be offended and tell you that she's not sorry at all etc etc. She really is a psycho and nobody wants to talk to her.
Does that makes her a Mary-Sue ? I'm sorry for the rant about her but I always wonder if she's not too much...Mary-Sue like. I don't want to make a character that seems perfect and invincible :/

Well, Mary Sue's...they tend to be on the perfect side, but they don't realize it. Like those girls who are gorgeous but say they're ugly all the time. They tend to have exotic traits...in the HP fandom we get a lot of Metamorphmagi...which is sad, I automatically dislike metamorphmagi OC's these days . And they tend to have a flaw that makes them only more endearing, like being clumsy... It's hard to define exactly, but I can point them out pretty quick

So far, i wouldsay no, Syd doesn't sound like a total Mary-Sue. Maybe a little bit, but it would really depend on how she would fit into a plotline but every character is going to be a little but of a Sue

Haha... my problem is that I work so much on making each face unique that I never draw their bodies XD Well, I haven't for ages is what I mean. Although, I haven't put anything on deviantART for ages!

Yeah, I always give them unique bodies too, but the main part for me is the face. OR maybe that's because I'm not that good at bodies yet and give up too easily XD I'm working on it though
