It's supposed to be a happy dance.. go-go not cry-cry.
You know what happened. That recovery after the Liz backstory arc happened, and people were feeling fluffy again... so OUT COME THE FEEL SHEARS!
Though this could be a kind of a way to round out the super high energy, rambunctious Nokka...in fact I wonder if Ellie locked off those aspects of Nokka when she bopped her.. even if it wasn't intentional, but I don't buy that excuse.. Ellie is a world class troll after all.Β She snaps her fingers to do just about anything from heal people to send them to different parts of the world...so what would direct contact do?
There's still the matter of how she lost both her arms, unless she popped them off to mess with Kipu and crew. Also how was Nokka able to knock over shelves that Kips had trouble lifting, unless that was just a matter of leverage.

I can definitely see Nokka riding on top of a bookshelf screaming incoherently while she flails about.. until the shelf falls over. then she leaps from the sinking ship to another one all tiny Jack Sparrow-like.

If Nokka was to have a twin, then the previous Nokka (whom I'll reference as Nokka A) would always end up scaring/tormenting the current Nokka (whom I'll call Nokka B). As such, Nokka B will end up running to Liz, who will then pull her into a hug and spend lots of time with Nokka B. All of this would be happening much to Kipu and Nokka A's chagrin.
It would be fun adding another character to the series. Perhaps in a short comic strip where everyone could pretend they were various familyΒ members. Kipu would claim to be the head of the household, and both Nokka A and Ellie would fight her for that position. Kipu would end up successfully keeping her position, leaving Ellie and Nokka A to fight for being the eldest. (Ellie wins that position, leaving Nokka A to be the middle child.) Liz becomes the undisputed mother figure, while Nokka B is the youngest. (She protests, but Ellie and Nokka A scare her. Nokka B ends up crying and running to Liz, fully utilizing the power of being the youngest to have Liz stand up for her.)

Memory is such a crazy ass thing. Not only does it inherently make up you as a person, if your memory is wiped, you essentially die, and are replaced with a new person.
And then there is how we can only really perceive things through memory. Something happens, but we react based on a memory of what just happened. There is no present, only a future and a past. If there is a present, then it is like a line on a graph, it's there, but INFINITELY thin.
So, great job Wissul, thanks for creating another thought provoking arc that makes you think. I love how your plan these things out.
