I've felt really isolated recently, concerning my art. It feels like it's only myself that's pushing me along, bumbling and tripping along a rocky path with no clear direction and no lights to guide my way. My family isn't really artistic, my first art teacher despised my style, and my second art teacher doesn't view digital has a valid medium, and also doesn't like my style...and I don't feel like I'm getting much support on the internet either - no real critique's or suggestions, artists skirt the subject when people ask how they do what they do...which is reasonable...I see other artists supported by other awesome artists(and what I mean here; is other artists being supported by good artists who are actively helping them to improve), and then I feel like my art's just been stuck in a rut lately, going nowhere...did I really have any talent in the first place, does talent even exist, or does it just not exist for me? Of have I hit my limit? I used to improve each day when I was younger, by leaps and bounds, but now....
I shouldn't throw my raw emotions onto an art site. It's probably just stress from school so ignore me.
arghhh...I'm crying, I'm so lame, I'm crying whilst typing....

first of all don't dvell too much on what people say or don't say about your art, if your happy with what you're doing then continue if not then find something else
second: you wont always improve at the same rate
third: you do have talent but talent isn't everything, you have to work hard to make something out of it

I think this is beautiful. You don't need other peoples opinions as long as you try and do what you love. I believe you are going to go a long way if you push to try harder. If doing this makes you happy continue it. And if it's any consolation I believe in you and actually look up to you and your art. ...Trust me if you weren't any good i don't think so many people would watch you...that's all I have to say anyway.

Ok first off yer amazing. I've never seen suck beautiful painting before I saw yers, you put so much work into everything you do. You also are great at pokemon like characters, I really like those guys.
Sometimes it's hard to think of good crits when all you see is amazing work you wish you could do yerself, but I will try harder if you want me to
The little guy on the ground? I think he shouldn't be glowing, to show more contrast between the two.

if you want to see no talent go to my gallery... if you were a bad artist i wouldnt be watching you and wishing i could draw better like you... your just in a slump! dont worry it will be over soon!
(btw - when your younger you brain is like a sponge so when you are taught something you learn it very quickly... it gets slower as you get older)

You're art is great and don't let anyone especially you're self think other wise (I doesn't make for a happy life) besides 1. Digital art is a a valid medium 2. You can be a critique and not like someones stuff but others will (everyones opinion is different)
3. I'm in for supporting people to get them happy SO BE HAPPY! when you are you will get happy art ^^

I dunno...I think you're an awesome artist, but support from a bunch of people you'll never meet isn't much is it? I mean if art's going to be a career it's the company you've got to impress, not just a bunch of other artist's. I'm really sorry your teachers don't view your art very well, I think that sucks. Your style is pretty unique and I love how you paint.

>__< aw. Yea deviantart can be frustrating like that. I always feel a little scared to critique someone elses work unless they have something specifically posted that they would like a critique..some ppl get mad lol.
I like these creatures, your artwork has a lot of creativity in it, esp the character designs, they are very unique.
I think the only thing I might try different in the beings of light as well, but I think maybe i'd make them glow a different color? maybe that wouldnt work out well or your already tried it, but i think if they were glowing a brighter color it might make the guy at the bottom stand out more since he'd be more obviously away from them.
Lots of art teachers wont like certain styles or media, you just have to learn what you can from them and keep drawing the way you love. You artwork really is amazing, never let anyone make you feel bad about it.

i know the feeling its hard when you don't really have anyone to sopport your work. *hugs* I sopport you! your art is wonderful and very diffrent. most art teachers are very triditional so they tend not to like other styles of art or even digital art. (i'v have 3 of these teachers so far) it really sucks. but don't give up
