Crystal Harmony and Stone Bay were lovers since foal hood. However, being on the very brim of Equestria, closer to the top, falling in love with a separate species was forbidden. Even more so with a BAT pony. More than half of Equestria hates bat ponies for there darkness that always seems to linger. Or the rumor that they eat children.

But that didn’t stop Harmony. The moment she laid her eyes on this dark, beautiful stallion, her heart knew he was the one. As they grew up they had to keep there friendship a secrete. However, as they aged, keeping there love a secret was becoming difficult. Seeing each other every night turned into every week, every week to once a month. Soon Stone had a enough. On a lovely full moon, with all the courage he had, Stone asked Crystal Harmony to marry him.

Harmony said yes immediately. However, it didn’t take long for there parents, both on each part, to find out. Harmony and Stone Bay were thrown out by both there parents. But they knew they could face anything together.

But everywhere they went they were constantly hated on for being married. More so Harmony. To the point they completely moved out of Equestria, even if it was difficult to do so. There they made a decent living for themselves. Harmony started a flower shop and Stone worked at a mine, doing extremely well in his job.

After a few years of being together in happiness with nothing to worry about besides the occasional money problems, having a child made all the bad things in the past disappear. Tiny little Luna Crystal Bay. She had a little bit of everything from both parents.

She was born perfect. A beautiful earth pony bat mix. Lunas parents often would coo at her tiny little wings.

However, there happiness did not last long enough. They had been living on the outskirts of Equestria, just a few miles out. The current king of that time, Silver Crown (the father of Celestia), wanted to expand his kingdom, for more farm land that was desperately needed. More so taking it from the king who ruled the areas Stone and Harmony lived in. This caused a huge downfall for them. As a short war broke out, only a few months into Lunas life, Stone Bay was told to have died in a accident.

He went mining like he usual did, but was working longer hours as the war went on to get more of coal. But on what he thought to be any normal day (as normal as it could be) an ambush had been set and they blew up the mines, destroying them.

When Harmony was told she quickly packed up with tears in her eyes and started to head away from everything. After a few days journey she had cut herself on a fallen tree while going over it. A few days later, the infection that came from the tree, took a heavy toll on her. Harmony KNEW she wasn’t going to make it, so when she spotted a older mare traveling on the roads, she placed Luna down with a note tied to her, kissed her goodbye, and hid.

The other mare picked up 6 month old Luna with worry and kindness on her face and hurried away.

Harmony found a soft spot in the forest away from the road and wrapped herself into a ball. Stayed there until her eyes stung and her tears faded. Crystal Harmony would finally lay her head down and smile as she thought about the happy memories. Unknown to her somepony, or some creature, had been watching her for some time in that spot.

And one couldn’t know after the tunnel collapsed, a single hoof broke out and pushed its body out into the sun, reveling a back stallion, terror in his eyes.

Luna is a orphan in Dusk Verse. Adopted by Silver Crown and Aurora Star, King and Queen of Equestria to rule besides Celestia.

Luna was found by that old mare who took her to a adoption place. Shortly after, King Silver won and that orphanage became part of his territory. For 10 years she would change orphanages once a year. Until finding her home with the Royals.
